School Board Seats Up for Election This Year

• 1x Nominating District E, Four-Year Term (Term Expires June 30, 2030)
  • NO ELECTION IN 2026, pursuant to 14 Del. C. § 1075(b)
    Per Delaware Code (Title 14, Section 1075 [b]), when there is only one candidate for the election for a school board seat, the Department declares the candidate elected and does not hold an election for the seat.
    
• 1x Nominating District F, Four-Year Term (Term Expires June 30, 2030)
• 1x Nominating District G, Two-Year Term (Term Expires June 30, 2028)

May 7, 2026 at 10 a.m.	Logic & Accuracy Testing of Absentee Voting Equipment for the School Board Election
May 8, 2026	Last day the Department is permitted to mail absentee ballots for the School Board Election.
May 11, 2026 at 12 Noon	Last time the Department is permitted to issue absentee ballots for the School Board Election.
May 11, 2026 at 9 a.m.	Random Selection of Voting Machines and Polling Places for Post–Election Audits
May 12, 2026	School Board Election. Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
May 12, 2026 at 10 a.m.	Preparation & Scanning of Absentee Ballots for the School Board Election

May 14, 2026 at 9 a.m.	Certification of the School Boad Election at the Department's New Castle County Office.
May 14, 2026 at 11 a.m.	Audit of the ballots cast on one randomly selected voting machine and a polling place used in the School Board Election.
