The Candidates listed below are the filed School Board Candidates for the 2025 School Board Elections

IMPORTANT NOTICES:

• An individual seeking election to a school board is not considered an "qualified" candidate until (1) the individual files a completed, notarized filing form that is accepted by the Department of Elections; and (2) the State Election Commissioner determines that an individual is qualified under 14 Del. C. § 209 (criminal background check and Delaware Child Protection Registry check) and under 14 Del. C. § 1052 (citizenship and residency requirement), as required under 14 Del. C. § 1075. A candidate's name will be added to the Department's online "filed school board candidates" list as "provisional" status candidate once the candidate has submitted the notarized filing form and has applied for a criminal background check and Delaware Child Protection Registry check. After the State Election Commissioner has made determinations based on the results of these checks that the candidate is qualified to stand as a candidate per Delaware Code, the candidate’s status will be updated to "qualified".
• Per the provisions of 14 Del. C. § 1075(b), in the event that there is only 1 candidate for the election of a school board member, the Department of Elections conducting the election shall declare the candidate elected, shall not hold an election for that seat, and shall issue a certificate of election to that candidate.
